The teaching-methodological complex on the subject “XXth Century American
Literature” is created for the students getting education on specialty 5111400 –
Foreign language and literature (English). In this course of the XXth Century
American literature, we have tried to be responsive to the immense changes that
have occurred over the past 20 years in the study of American literature. In
particular, we have tried to register the plurality of American culture and
American writing: the continued inventing of communities, and the sustained
imagining of nations, that constitute the modern literary history of the United
States.
